Being a member means

* Membership in an academy with high scientific quality; some form of accreditation is planned.
* An academic address with space on the website and for those who want a personal email address.
* It is assumed that the member uses this address and that he/she presents himself/herself on the website.
* Access to workroom, telephone, computer network connection and meeting rooms in Strömstad City Hall.
* The Academy’s publication series is available to members for free electronic publication.
* Interdisciplinary anthologies are published at regular intervals with members as chapter authors.
* Members are invited to an annual interdisciplinary conference and academic celebration in June in Strömstad;

* Members can for no cost participate in webinars, arranged by the local chapters, projects or the Academy.
* Member is also a member of Strömstad Academy non-profit association and has full voting rights at the annual meeting in June (see also the statutes).
* Members are occasionally required to give a scientific lecture to the public in Strömstad, for example every two years.
* The appointment is unpaid, but since the academy is primarily for emeritus, members have their own support.
* A member of the academy may conduct research and publication of scientific articles without regard to external grantors.

According to the academy’s rules decided on 10/9 2008 and supplemented 18/6 2010, graduates can be appointed at Strömstad Academy. Appointments are unpaid.

Attach a certified copy of documents proving your academic status as above. Although the academy largely consists of emeritus, it is also for those who are still professionally active.
